The number of signatures on this petition nearly covers the difference between the amount of leave and remain votes! If you don’t agree with the decision to leave, sign this petition. A second petition could possibly mean people aged 16+ (instead of the current legal age to vote of 18+) are allowed to vote to determine their future. It also means people can re-vote after the false and misleading campaigning they may have previously voted for.
These points as well as the obviously unrepresentative 72% turnout. Such an important referendum should ask people to vote again, and make turnout mandatory in the UK.
If you’re unhappy with the result, now’s the time to fight for something - Emily Pankhurst and the suffragettes fought for women’s rights to vote - it’s time for a less fatal modern day fight to determine our own futures!
If we allow the UK’s departure from the EU:
- Food will be more expensive due to the increased prices of imported food
- Fuel prices are set to increase
- Less doctors, nurses and funding on the NHS (the UK’s healthcare system) as well as prolonged waiting lists
- Brexit could lead to an 18% slump in property prices
- Faster rise in pension age - the youth of today are likely to work till we literally drop.
People voting xenophobically are not voting with our best interests at heart.
